Power of Possible 3

(Friday)

In this lesson, we identified the need to believe in what’s possible.

Companies are creating new technologies, products, services, and devices every day. Every day the boundaries of what is possible are expanded.

If you wish to be a part of this exciting future, you need to develop the “power of possible” mindset.

Developing or adopting the “power of possible” mindset is the secret weapon of the super successful. Those who are highly successful in school, the workplace, and life don’t let their doubt or others’ doubts stop them from trying.

Remember these keys:

• Allow yourself to focus on the possibilities, rather than the obstacles. This will help you develop a growth mindset.

• A Growth mindset allows you to believe that you can learn new skills and information.

• Do not neglect or underestimate your imagination.

Resourceful.

Resourcefulnessness is defined as having the ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties. In connection with being resourceful, you may have heard phrases like ‘thinking outside the box’, or ‘drawing outside of the lines’.

How resourceful are you? How creative are you when it comes to problem-solving? Does using your imagination help you look at problems from a completely different angle?

Watch the video and come up with some imaginative and creative solutions.

NOTE: Try imagining some scenarios for your friends or family to solve.

Have a Plan

If you believe something is possible your next step is creating a plan. What will you do to accomplish the task? When it comes to self-improvement the same is true. You need to have a plan.

For example, let’s say that you always procrastinate before a big test. You always wait until the night before the exam, to cram and study for the big test. Your habit of procrastination causes you a lot of stress and anxiety. You might think it’s impossible to change that habit. But with the right mindset and a plan, you can break that habit and create new, more productive habits.

Take a moment to think about one or two negative habits, qualities, mindsets, or traits that you would like to change. Have clearly in mind why you’ve identified them as negative, be clear about how they impact or negatively affect you, and identify positive replacements for them. Then create a habit plan using the steps below.

STEPS FOR CHANGE

Thought of the day.

“Imagination is the beginning of creation.” - George Bernard Shaw

What is possible?

What are you capable of accomplishing? What will you do with your talents, gifts, and skills? Whose lives will you touch? What contributions will you make to science, math, the arts, literature, music, technology, or medicine? The possibilities are endless. Your possibilities are endless!
